Sosa, Omar - Senses (CD) |-

Omar Sosa's solo piano recording, SENSES, was created at EMPAC at RPI in Troy, NY in February 2012, when Omar was involved in an artist residency with dancer / choreographer Nora Chipaumire. The improvisations comprise Omar's sixth solo piano CD, a very personal, intimate set of 16 impromptus - relaxed, introspective, infused with calm and tranquility. Omar comments, "I feel peaceful. I feel love for the sake of love. The pieces are musical journeys, during which my Cuban roots emerge in unusual, decontructed ways."
